Maggie eventually abandoned mediumship for love. In Philadelphia, she met and fell in love with famed Arctic explorer Elisha Kent Kane, the dashing son of an aristocratic family, who did not deem Maggie worthy of marrying into their line. They did exchange vows and rings in the company of friends but were never legally wed. Unfortunately, the affair ended in tragedy when Kane died in 1857. Since my move, I’ve been feeling disconnected with my spiritual path. Apparently this happens a lot during moves — root chakra stuff. Then I remembered the importance of this journal, which had been the cornerstone of my practice before the move, and here I am, back home again.
Nursing a sore throat with herbal tea and honey. Reading Modern Magick by Kraig, and wishing my Dion Fortune books were unpacked.
